OTHER THINGS TO CONSIDER

THE 24 HOUR RULE. We all get excited at ball games, emotions can run high. If you have any issues which you feel you must address, try to wait 24 hours, and see if it is still important. If the issue is with the umpires or league, please give West Jeff a call, and let our officers handle the situation through proper channels.

THE PLAYERS. Remember the 24 hour rule.  Durning the car ride home, or at the dinner table, refrain from 'negative' or 'constructive' criticism.  Instead, focus on the positive elements of your child's game.  These are only kids trying to have a good time while playing a very simple game of ball. Don't put undo pressure on them to become the next Jennie Finch.

THE UMPIRES (or league issues).  There will be times when you disagree with the umpires or with league rules. Umpires are human, many of our umpires are new and still learning their trade, they will make mistakes.  Let your Coach handle the umpires or any league issuses while on the playing field.  Remember the 24 hour rule.  If after 24 hours you must talk with someone, give West Jeff a call and let us handle the situation through proper channels.

THE COACHES.  Immediately following a game, both coaches and parents can be on an emotional edge; give an issue 24 hours to let your emotions cool down before contacting your coach.  West Jeff coaches are all volunteers, just doing the best they can. If you have some spare time, ask them if they need any help in practice, or during the games.
