West Jeff Girls Softball / Rocky Mountain Rampage

  The WJ Firecrackers (first year junior, age 11U) shut out the Ninjas of South Jeff 11-0 at Conifer High School on Wednesday, May 19.  The Firecrackers played great team defense behind pitcher Katie Solis.  Coach Jodie Cates said, "All of the girls have really been working hard.  We started practicing in the cages in February and all of the hard work is starting to pay off." 

 Our Wildcats (mini-midget coach pitch, age 8U) team led by Coach Gordon Zellner played their home opener at Stagecoach field Tuesday, May 18.  The Wildcats defeated a tough Golden Demonettes team 17-8.  Coach Gordon replied after the game, "We are having fun!"

 Our West Jeff Rocky Mountain Rampage 16A competitive tournament team hosted our WJ player skills clinic on May 8.  A great time was had by all and the younger girls learned some skills to take back to their teams.  The Rampage 16A is made up of many of our local high school ball players, all proceeds of the clinic will go directly to our local girls to help fund their 10 tournament summer season.  Thanks to all who came out to participate.
