HISTORY: The Rocky Mountain Rampage 16B (Cubs) team has been together since the summer of 2000 (8 years). The coaching staff has been together for 10 years dating back to T-Ball when our girls played in West Jeff Baseball. In 2007, at U14, the team competed at both the B and C level. Our team dominated at C winning 2 tournaments and suffering only 1 loss. At the B level we were competitive but lacked consistency. In 2006, the team won the USSSA 12C State Championship. Our best finish in U12B came in the Memorial Day Classic where we finished in 5th place. The 2008 season, some highlights were:1st at the 14B Blaze Invite; 2nd at the 14B Troublemaker Tournament; 5th at the Colorado Sparkler, 14 open Sunshine Peak Bracket & a 4th place finish at the USSSA 14B State Tournament. The team will play in a series of 16B and Open tournaments throughout the 2009 season.

PHILOSOPHY:
1) "Practice How You Play"
2) Girls that want to play, look forward to practice, want to learn, want to work at getting better
3) Parents that will commit to getting their girls to practice and work together to help each other out
4) Create a mature team that will be able to start coaching themselves, a team that will learn and work together
5) A Positive, Fun and Disciplined Experience - NOT Win at all Costs - Winning is secondary and will take care of itself. "Serious but Fun".
6) This is a TEAM Sport (no Superstars, No Prima-Donnas). Communication and friendship
builds a team.
-Our Best Hitter is the one in the Batters Box
-Our Best Fielder is the one with the Ball
-Our Best Pitcher is the one on the Mound
7) Emphasis on Learning and Understanding the Game
-Learn from Mistakes - Mistakes are Good
-Smart Play, Smart Team
8) Playing Time: Playing time is equitable. All players will have a share in sitting the bench.
-Tournament Play: Pool Play will allow all players equitable playing time; however, we will be positioning our team for a good seed on Sundays. In bracket play, we will be playing to win.
-League Play: This is an extension of our practice and our focus will be on implementation of concepts from practice. Winning is not the primary focus and all players will play.
